Writing a Press Release
Knowing how to write a press release is an important skill to develop. It is a way to tell a story or news that you to gain trust in order to receive media coverage.
You need to be straight to the point, have a hook, answer basic questions like ‘what, how, why, when, who and where’
One important thing is not to exaggerate the details and give false information to impress people. Ethics in writing is irreplaceable.
I created a newsworthy press release for Nestle about a new initiative to promote sustainable practices among children through online games.
I needed to research more about the project and write it in a way that they could accept and cover the story

NESTLE PROMOTES SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES AMONG CHILDREN THROUGH ONLINE GAMES
The world’s most famous chocolate industry is promoting sustainable habits to children through an online platform created by them.
Next week, Nestlé will launch a new app called “Foodlandia” that will promote healthy and sustainable lifestyles through games. They have a partnership with school and other sustainable companies, which are going to help to provide these children tools to raise awareness of the importance of recycling, sustainable behaviors, and preserve the ecosystem now and for the future.
The program aims to reach more than 150,000 children, teachers and families. The main objective is to create a fun and entertaining environment which can be meaningful and with great value for all generations.
Marcus Greek, the founder of that app said: “The digital strategy that began to be implemented last year, in the wake of the pandemic, was widely accepted by teachers, educators and families, allowing it to amplify its coverage and geographic distribution. It is estimated that indirectly, through activities aimed at families, the program has impacted more than 320,000 people across the country.”
The app and digital strategy have been studied and implemented last year, with the pandemic. This plan was widely accepted by teachers, educators and families. Because of the great acceptance, the founders decided to develop other games, levels and topics.
Greek said, “I have high hopes that this interactive program will help children use their internet and mobile time to learn and cultivate good for future generations. It is never too late to learn to create new habits, and if we learn from a young age, we will be able to be even better in the future.”
